Bara Bazar is basically a wholesale market locality which is located in Kolkata, West Bengal just at the margin of Cantilever shaped Howrah Bridge. The market consists of every kind of goods and services such as clothes, upholstery and tapestry, etc. There has been a separate market for spices, bags, clothes, ornaments, electronic accessories and many more. Bara Bazar is one of the oldest markets in Kolkata and also famous for its popular food joint eateries located in and around the area. The tiny lanes of Bara Bazar offer crowds and bustling noise of vehicle. Bara Bazar has a worst crowd during the festive season. It's a traditional form of buying stuffs as compared to online shopping which is efficient and time-saving nowadays but if you want to feel those old school vibes (feels of buying saree with your own hand) then definitely you need to check out Bara Bazar market.
